Van driver helped clear from Scarborough floods

A van driver had to be helped to safety after his vehicle was caught up in heavy flooding in North Yorkshire.

Footage shot by David Platt near the Sands Complex in Scarborough's North Bay on Thursday shows an unidentified man standing waist-deep in the water trying to reach the van.

Emergency workers helped the man back to dry land unharmed.
