Queen's Platinum Jubilee: York 21-gun salute marks anniversary

A 21-gun royal salute has been fired in York, marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee year.

The ceremony, which every year celebrates Accession Day, took place at the Museum Gardens at midday on Monday 7 February.

The guns were operated by the Topcliffe-based 4th Regiment Royal Artillery, known as the North East Gunners.

The Queen is the first British monarch to celebrate a platinum jubilee.
