Peter Robinson appeals for information on Ronan Kerr murder

Northern Ireland's First Minister, Peter Robinson, has issued a public appeal over the murder of a police officer, urging anyone with information to come forward.

Constable Ronan Kerr, aged 25, was killed outside his home in Omagh yesterday.

He was a Catholic who joined the police service just last year.

Political parties across Northern Ireland have condemned his murder. Dissident Republicans are thought to be responsible.

Mark Simpson reports.
