Belfast attacks: Naomi Long calls for government action
A policewoman has escaped injury after a masked gang threw a petrol bomb inside an unmarked police car, opposite Alliance Party MP Naomi Long's east Belfast office.
The gang of six men smashed the car's back window before throwing the bomb inside.
Police are treating the attack on the Upper Newtownards Road, at about 19:35 GMT on Monday, as attempted murder.
The violence is to be raised in the House of Commons later on Tuesday.
Ms Long urged the government to intervene.
