Twelfth Parade stops in protest at Parades Commission

A Twelfth of July parade in Belfast has stopped outside the Parades Commission office in Bedford Street to protest against a determination over a contentious parade.

The Parades Commission ruled that marchers will not be allowed to return along part of the Crumlin Road that separates nationalist and loyalist communities on Friday evening.

The County Grand Master for Belfast, George Chittick, spoke to denounce the commission as a banner was attached to trees.
