Northern Ireland talks: Leaders welcome broad agreement

A broad agreement has been brokered on some key issues in the cross-party Northern Ireland talks.

The two main parties, the DUP and Sinn Fein, have confirmed they are recommending the proposals to their executives, but some other parties are disappointed.

First Minister Peter Robinson said the document was "an agenda for better government in Northern Ireland".

Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness said it was a "remarkable achievement".
