Kincora: Abuse claims remain under HIA's remit after ruling

A judge has ruled that a current public inquiry into child abuse in Northern Ireland is equipped to investigate allegations of abuse at Kincora Boys' Home in Belfast.

It followed a legal challenge from a Kincora victim, who argued Northern Ireland's Historical Institutional Abuse Inquiry (HIA) did not have enough powers to investigate claims against UK intelligence services.
