Equality Commission disappointed by employers in pregnancy cases

The Equality Commission for Northern Ireland has said it is disappointed by the actions of employers in three discrimination cases on grounds of pregnancy and maternity.

The cases were settled for a total of £15,500.

The watchdog's head of advice, Eileen Lavery, said women who are pregnant or have young children continue to experience difficulties at work.
