Five fishermen rescued by the RNLI after boat loses power
Five fishermen are rescued by the RNLI after their boat lost power off the coast of Fanad Head in County Donegal.
RNLI volunteers from Lough Swilly, Portrush and Arranmore spent about 15 hours at sea.
The fishermen got into difficulties after encountering steering problems while crab fishing.
Belfast coastguard raised the alarm at 14.15 GMT on 14 December following a mayday alert from the crew.
Weather conditions at the time were said to be extremely challenging with sea swells of 50ft.
