Gaza: 'I'm feeling safe now I have arrived in Ireland'

There have been emotional scenes at Dublin Airport as the first group of Irish citizens and dependants returned from Gaza.

One woman arriving on Saturday afternoon spoke of her relief to be reunited with family.

"I'm feeling safe here in Ireland," Nisreen Abuowda told Irish broadcaster RTÉ.

Another person arriving described the Gaza Strip as "a disaster" with no electricity, medical supplies, food or water.

"I feel safe now finally after 40 days," Saeed Sadeq said.
