NUS president Aaron Porter on strike threats
NUS president Aaron Porter says the government has no mandate for the "depth and speed" of the cuts being suggested and that it was unacecptable for students and young people to "bear the brunt" of paying off the deficit.
The union will be discussing its reaction to a TUC call for general strike action.
