Yvette Cooper: 'We were wrong on WMD in Iraq'

New shadow foreign secretary Yvette Cooper has said the Labour government was "wrong" about weapons of destruction in Iraq.

She said: "There were no weapons of mass destruction...we have to recognise that and move on from that".

Ms Cooper also told the BBC that being offered the role of shadow foreign secretary was "a great honour".

Ed Miliband named her in his first shadow cabinet after she topped the poll of Labour MPs.
