David Cameron: 'I don't predict a problem with child benefit'

Prime Minister David Cameron has said he "doesn't predict a problem" with the implementation of planned changes to child benefit.

The Treasury has said higher rate taxpayers will have to declare whether anyone in their household gets the allowance.

The money would then be taken back through the tax system, and fines could be issued for "non-compliance".

Speaking in Brussels, Mr Cameron said ''I don't start from the proposition that we're all appalling cheats and liars''.
