Tigers threatened by extinction as only 3,000 left

Leaders from the 13 countries where tigers still live in the wild have been meeting in Russia to discuss how to keep the species going.

Only around 3,000 of the big cats remain but the aim is to double the number over the next dozen years.

Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is hosting the meeting with China's Wen Jiabao and wildlife experts.
