Alexander: 'Fair Fuel Stabiliser has complications'
The Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander, has said that bringing in policies to help reduce the cost of petrol and diesel is still under consideration, but he isn't giving any indication of when this may happen.
Mr Alexander says that the "Fair Fuel Stabiliser" - which reduces duty on fuel at times of high prices -remains an option, but there are "complications".
He told the BBC One's Politics Show that the government's priority had to be bringing down the deficit.
