Cameron: 'No privatisation taking place' at the NHS

David Cameron has defended the government's plans to overhaul the NHS, saying it must be modernised or it will become unaffordable and will head for crisis.

His comments mirrored those he made in an article in the Times, published on the day MPs debate government proposals for major changes to the health service in England.

Health unions have denounced the changes, but the prime minister insisted that there would be "no privatisation of the NHS".
