Minister visits border to see aid efforts in Libya
Britain's efforts in Libya include flying 6,000 evacuees back to their home countries and contributing enough tents and blankets for 10,000 people stranded on the border with Tunisia, according to the International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell.
Mr Mitchell, who is in Libya, told the BBC's Jim Muir that the number of people crossing the border in to Tunisia had fallen to 1,863 on Thursday from around 10,000 on Wednesday - but that he had no explanation for the sudden drop.
