NHS reform: Cameron says change vital to avoid crisis

Prime Minister David Cameron has said the NHS is facing "enormous financial pressures" and must change if it is to avoid a crisis.

Mr Cameron said the ageing population meant "the big killers of the past are becoming the lifelong conditions of the future", and the cost of treating such conditions was only set to rise.

But he sought to reassure people about the changes by saying they would lead to a system that was "the NHS you love and recognise, only better".
