MP was 'wrong to name Ryan Giggs'

The shadow Commons leader Hilary Benn has criticised the Liberal Democrat MP John Hemming for using parliamentary privilege to name Ryan Giggs as having taking out a super-injunction.

It was revealed on Twitter that the married footballer had taken legal action over an alleged affair with reality TV star Imogen Thomas.

Mr Benn said he did not believe identifying Ryan Giggs was a matter of public interest, the test MPs should use for parliamentary privilege.
