Health changes: NHS Confederation and Royal College of Physicians

NHS Confederation chief executive Mike Farrar and Richard Thompson from the Royal College of Physicians claimed changes in government plans for the NHS in England have met some of their fears.

But both stopped short of backing the revised plans until they saw the details, including the role of private bodies.

Historian and journalist Max Hastings claimed David Cameron had rushed in the NHS changes and he did not understand why he "wanted to go there so fast"
