Macmillan Cancer Support on patients losing welfare

Mike Hobday from the Macmillan Cancer Support said the government had not realised the effect of welfare reforms on cancer patients who are not ready to return to work.

Anita Anand asked Mr Hobday - a former Labour election candidate at the last election - about the claims over a loss of £94 a week for cancer patients following the angry exchanges which dominated Prime Minister's Questions.

The charity has claimed removal of the Employment and Support Allowance after 12 months could see 7,000 lose money.
