London mayor contest: Lembit Opik faces 'negative briefing'

Former MP Lembit Opik claimed there had been "a lot of negative briefing from some mysterious, anonymous sources" in his party about his bid to be Liberal Democrat candidate in the 2012 London mayoral race.

He was asked about Nick Clegg's view of him standing in the contest to take on Ken Livingstone and Boris Johnson, after a clip of his promotional video was shown.

Rival Mike Tuffrey spoke about his bid to challenge Mr Opik on the London edition of the Politics Show.
