Greece 'insolvent' says economist Professor Costas Meghir

Professor Costas Meghir, an economist from the University College London, claimed Greece was "basically insolvent" as he explained how his home nation could return to the drachma currency and what would happen to its debt.

Sajid Javid, Bromsgrove MP and a former director at Deutsche Bank, said the "euro was always a bankruptcy machine" and countries should either enter a closer political union or get rid of the currency.
