PMQs: Cameron quizzed on defence spending and Libya

David Cameron was quizzed on defence spending by Ed Miliband who wanted assurances that "sufficient resources were in place" to fund the UK's role in Libya, after some military figures questioned whether further action could be afforded.

The prime minister claimed "time was on our side, not on Gaddafi's side" as he explained a defence review over the last year had led to the "right flexibility" for British armed forces.

He said action in Libya was being funded from reserves and didn't affect spending on Afghanistan.
