Press Complaints Commission chairman on phone hacking

The chairman of the Press Complaints Commission defended the body's actions over the phone hacking allegations by tabloid newspapers.

Baroness Buscombe claimed she was angry the PCC was misled by the News of the World and added: "There's only so much we can do when people are lying to us."

She was interviewed by Andrew Neil from the BBC's Daily Politics, a former Sunday Times editor, who pressed her to list the actions taken by the regulatory body which she took over in 2009.
