Former chancellor Darling warns over bank reforms
Business Secretary Vince Cable has indicated that banks could be forced to separate their High Street businesses from their investment divisions.
Speaking to the BBC's Andrew Marr, Mr Darling suggested that such a move would not solve the problems that led to the recent economic crisis, but could be a "useful tool".
He went on to say that the reorganisation of the banking system must be handled carefully, or banks may move away from the UK.
