Yvette Cooper says Tony Blair was right on crime

Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper claimed Tony Blair was right on crime - hours after Ed Miliband distanced himself from the former PM in his leadership speech to conference.

The shadow home secretary told Labour delegates in Liverpool that "we should be proud" of the party record on crime as she recalled Blair's "tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime" phrase.
