Liam Fox Dubai business meeting 'not an accident'

A businessman involved in the row over the conduct of Liam Fox has said a meeting he had with the defence secretary in Dubai in June was not an "accidental occurrence".

Harvey Boulter of Porton Group said, "there was a clear intention after that April meeting that [Mr Werritty] would at some time in the future set that meeting up.

"It's not right to characterise the meeting as an accidental occurrence. You don't get to meet ministers over a glass of wine in a restaurant."
