EU vote a 'big nuisance' for Cameron - Portillo

Michael Portillo said the referendum issue for Tory MPs - ahead of Monday's vote - was an "embarrassment" and a "distraction" for David Cameron.

The former defence secretary said the vote would remind the public of his time in office "when we were split from top to bottom on Europe", while Diane Abbott explained why Labour was not backing the motion.
