Phone hacking: James Murdoch denies misleading MPs

At his second appearance before MPs, James Murdoch was asked whether he had misled a committee when he appeared before them in July.

The News International chairman said: "My own testimony has been consistent", and said he had given as "such clarity and transparency" as he could, when questioned by Labour MP Tom Watson.

Speaking to the culture, media and sport committee, he then claimed other key figures - former News of the World editor Colin Myler and its lawyer Tom Crone - had been "inconsistent" and "economical" in their evidence.
