Sir Michael Wilshaw on teachers taking strike action

The new Chief Inspector of Schools said he does not back Wednesday's planned action that could see teachers and educational staff walk out.

Sir Michael Wilshaw - called a 'miracle maker' for making Mossbourne Academy in Hackney a beacon of success, said "there must be other ways of resolving this dispute".

He said a lot of head teachers were on a "good salary" and should think about that before taking industrial action on Wednesday.
