Bernard Jenkin: 'Watershed' moment in UK-EU relations

The Conservative eurosceptic MP Bernard Jenkin has welcomed David Cameron's decision to veto an EU-wide treaty change to save the euro, calling it a 'watershed' moment.

Mr Jenkin added that it was time for Britain to consider altering the terms of its EU membership.

David Cameron vetoed the treaty in Brussels on Thursday night because, he said, it had not offered sufficient protection of Britain's interests.
