Unions criticise Ed Balls over pay freeze support

Union leaders have criticised shadow chancellor Ed Balls for saying Labour could not promise to overturn government cuts.

On BBC Radio 4's Today programme, he suggested he would support a pay freeze for public sector workers, while in a speech to the Fabian Society he said he could not commit to reversing cuts already made.
