Ed Miliband will 'stay the course' with Labour
Ed Miliband has defended Labour's decision to back the government's pay freeze for public sector workers, saying the party has to show it is "fiscally credible".
He said it was "a hard choice" but that it was "absolutely right to prioritise employment" over pay rises.
He also fought off claims that his leadership lacks energy and direction, saying he intends to "stay the course" and he is leading the battle of ideas.
