Police Federation: Massive cuts put public at risk
The chairman of the Police Federation said £160m was "being taken out of police officers' pockets" along with a four-year pay freeze and police budgets cut by up to a third.
Paul McKeever said "massive cuts" were "putting the public at risk" and officers had already been through a series of pay reforms.
He was responding to Home Secretary Theresa May's announcement that police pay would now reflect skill levels.
