Work experience and benefits debate: Roux, Portillo, Smith

Chef Michel Roux Jr said any work experience was valuable, showed that youngsters wanted to achieve and that he had staff who had started this way.

He was debating his This Week film with Andrew Neil, Michael Portillo and Jacqui Smith, who looked at the options for the young after time spent on work experience.
