Lib Dems made NHS bill better, says Clegg
The Liberal Democrat Spring conference has refused to endorse the government's changes to the NHS in England.
Members voted against a motion, backed by the party leadership, supporting the reforms. The vote doesn't mean that the bill will be scrapped.
In his speech to delegates, the party's leader, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, said NHS reform was controversial and difficult, but insisted the party's influence on the changes had been positive.
