Budget 2012: Extra help for Armed Forces, says Osborne
The Chancellor George Osborne has told MPs the cost of operations in Afghanistan will be lower than planned because troops will be withdrawn from the country in 2014.
In his budget speech, Mr Osborne also announced more improvements to troops' accommodation and an increase in council tax relief.
