David Cameron: 'Home Office acted properly on Qatada'
Prime Minister David Cameron has backed the Home Office on their handling of Abu Qatada's deportation appeal.
He told the BBC's Nick Robinson that the "Home Office was absolutely clear throughout what the deadline was".
Abu Qatada, a Palestinian-Jordanian preacher, is wanted in Jordan on bomb plotting charges.
Home Secretary Theresa May faced a barrage of questions about the issue in the Commons last week, telling MPs the government believed the deadline for Abu Qatada's appeal was Monday 16 April.
