Garth Crooks on minister's Ukraine Euro 2012 protest

Football commentator Garth Crooks reckons UK sports minister Hugh Robertson's threatened boycott of the Euro 2012 games in Ukraine "won't achieve anything".

The minister's protest follows the treatment of imprisoned former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko in Ukraine - which is hosting the games along with Poland.

Mr Crooks spoke to Jo Coburn about previous conflicts between sport and politics, but said of footballers: "We are far too selfish for that, we will make our own decision and we will almost certainly go."
