Nadine Dorries: MPs could push for PM no confidence vote

Conservative MP Nadine Dorries has said some of her colleagues could push for a confidence vote in Prime Minister David Cameron unless there is a change in policy.

In local elections on Friday, the Conservatives lost control of 12 councils while their Lib Dem partners also experienced heavy losses.

Writing in the Mail on Sunday, Chancellor George Osborne said he took Thursday's results "on the chin", and admitted problems with the presentation of the Budget.

But, Tory backbencher, Nadine Dorries, accused Mr Osborne and Mr Cameron of "arrogance".

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live's Stephen Nolan, the MP for Mid-Bedfordshire said a "combination of arrogance, privilege and bad manners" makes both "dangerous".
