Conservative conference: David Cameron's year reviewed

Tory blogger Tim Montgomerie went to the cinema to look back over David Cameron's year, as the leader prepares to make his speech to the party conference in Birmingham.

He reviewed an attack from backbencher Nadine Dorries, the fall-out with Nick Clegg over a review of Parliamentary boundaries, and the potential threat from London mayor Boris Johnson to his leadership.

Mr Montgomerie claimed there were parallels with 1992 and the premiership of John Major - the last time the Conservatives won a general election outright.

It follows a film by George Parker on Nick Clegg's year for Liberal Democrat conference - and a film by Kevin Maguire on Ed Miliband's year for the Labour conference.
