UKIP's Nigel Farage on EU winning Nobel Prize

The European Union winning the Nobel Peace Prize would bring the award into "disrepute" said the UKIP leader as he spoke of a north-south division in Europe.

Nigel Farage joked he "would struggle" to accept the award in the unlikely event he was asked to collect it, as he spoke to the Guardian's Nick Watt with Jo Coburn on the Daily Politics.

The committee said the EU had helped to transform Europe "from a continent of war to a continent of peace".
