EU law and order rules: Chris Bryant and Dominic Raab

A majority of European Union regulations on law and order "serve no tangible British law enforcement gain at all" claimed a Tory MP.

Dominic Raab was speaking ahead of an announcement from Home Secretary Theresa May where she was expected to say UK government planned to opt out of more than 100 measures on law and order.

But shadow home office minister Chris Bryant said "there was an enormous financial risk to us" and he said Britain could lose the power over European criminals operating in the UK.
