David Cameron energy price pledge row deepens

The government has yet to confirm a pledge by Prime Minister David Cameron that energy firms will be forced to move customers to their lowest tariffs.

Energy Minister John Hayes told MPs that the Energy Bill, which the government plans to publish next month, will reform the energy market and increase competition.

Labour has said government policy is in "chaos", while the industry described the position as "confusing to say the least".
