Whittingdale: Press legislation poses 'real concerns'

The chair of the Culture and Media Select Committee has said that there are "real concerns", about proposals to legislate the press.

John Whittingdale MP was speaking to the BBC's Andrew Marr after the prime minister refused to fully endorse the Leveson Report.

Lord Justice Leveson's report into press standards and ethics recommended an independent self-regulatory body for the industry, backed up by legislation.
