David Cameron vows in/out referendum on EU
British Prime Minster David Cameron has vowed to hold an in/out referendum on the UK's future in the EU if the Conservatives win the next election.
Speaking in London, Mr Cameron said that he hoped to negotiate a new settlement with Europe "with the single market at its heart" before the vote.
Earlier he insisted that asking the question in the current climate was a "false question", as the EU was in a state of flux and must first agree treaty change.
