Vince Cable: 'We must get the balance right'

Business Secretary Vince Cable has suggested that this summer's government spending review may have to be delayed because of intense disagreements within the cabinet.

He has also questioned whether some departments should continue to be protected from spending cuts.

Speaking in Brighton, he said the government had to ''get the balance right'' in dealing with the deficit.
