Government 'wrong focus on immigration' - Labour

Deputy prime minister Nick Clegg has called for a crackdown on abuse of the visa system, with some visitors to the UK being asked to pay a deposit when they arrive.

He said migrants made a huge contribution but there must be "zero tolerance" of abuses.

But Labour's Immigration Minister Chris Bryant said the government was "focussing on the wrong end of the problem".
