Ken Clarke: Thatcher modernised Britain

The Conservative Minister Ken Clarke, who served in Baroness Thatcher's government, has described the former prime minister as a "conviction politician".

Ken Clarke told BBC News that Lady Thatcher was "determined to make a difference" when she took office.

And working with her was "fun as long as you could stand the hassle".

Baroness Thatcher's funeral will be held at St Paul's Cathedral on 17 April.
